Javra Software is seeking experienced Software Developers to join our Progress Software Group. The group is a world class knowledge center on Progress Software Application Platforms. The Progress Software Group implements and delivers projects according to the requirements of our international customers. Developers in the Progress Software Group extensively make use of Javra Software’s proprietary development tool X/E files.
The Senior Software Developer has the following core responsibilities:
• Work cooperatively in a project-focused development team
• Design and implement software using Progress 4GL and X/E files
• Test your own and other’s software changes
• Mentor your colleagues in software development best practices
Required experience and profile is as follows:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or similar. Masters degree is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years experience in Software Development, with experience in:
->database programming (Oracle, MySQL, etc)
->the complete Software Development Life Cycle
->developing Windows GUI and/or Web applications
• Good communication and interpersonal skills while working in English
• Demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages and tools
• Confident in estimating time needed for tasks
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
The following skills are optional but desirable:
• Knowledge of Dutch language
• Experience with Progress 4GL
