Front Desk In-charge /Admin Assistant

ANSAB (Asia Network for Sustainable Agriculture and Bioresources) is an international non-governmental organization with its headquarters in Kathmandu. Established in 1992, ANSAB is committed to biodiversity conservation and economic development through community-based enterprise oriented solutions. ANSAB has been working in the field of natural resource management and economic development. It focuses its activities on the sustainable use and management of Non Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) supporting community based forest enterprises (CBFEs).

ANSAB is seeking a dynamic, energetic and career-oriented female candidate for the position of Front Desk In-charge /Admin Assistant to work in its head office, Kathmandu. The Front Desk In-charge/Admin Assistant will work under general supervision of Manager, Finance and Administration (MFA), and will be mainly responsible for the following:

Main Responsibilities
• Receive visitors and handle telephone calls, faxes, mails, emails and other correspondence;
• Maintain staff attendance, monthly time sheet, and service billing system;
• Record and maintain the custody of all the office assets and equipments in good order;
• Oversee office/equipment maintenance and repair;
• Conduct general office procurements such as stationeries, equipment, furniture and other goods and services;
• Manage store inventory system and disbursement of supplies to staff;
• Manage and maintain ANSAB library, store and other publications;
• Assist in organizing trainings, workshops and other ANSAB general activities and provide logistic and administrative support to all the staff as and when required;
• Organize and maintain office files, folders and records;
• Assist in human resource management and development;
• Manage petty cash for office related work and make necessary travel arrangements as and when required;
• Supervise sub-ordinate /support staff and regularly report to the management; and
• Perform other duties assigned by MAF and Executive Director.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
• At least a bachelor degree in business, social science or diploma in administrative management.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience with ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Prior experience in front desk, secretarial and administrative management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Ability to plan and prioritize work duties as well as work competently under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in the use of information technologies and good computer skills, particularly in the use of MS Office Package (MS Word, MS access, MS Excel)
• Fluency in both written and verbal Nepali and English.

Planning & Evaluation Team Leader

Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Nepal invites applications for the position of Planning and Evaluation Team Leader. This is a senior level position. Eligible candidates with interest and experience in related field are encouraged to apply.

Planning and Evaluation Team Leader - One
The key responsibilities of this position include: (a) exploring new opportunities, updating with new trends for project proposals for the organization; (b) initiating and leading the designing, writing and submitting of project proposals that are in line with national policy coordinating with the team; (c) developing and ensuring of a strong programme planning system; (d) writing project proposals of high standards; (e) developing and maintaining strong program evaluation system; (f) ensuring capacity building of the planning team.

 Competencies: Master Degree in Development studies or relevant areas; 3-5 years of working experience in planning and evaluation in development sector; excellent writing (English) and information management skills including reference materials, journal articles, research reports, case studies for proposal writing; good organization, planning and reporting skills with a high level of computer competency; self –starter; analytical and strategic, and results and action orientated.
