PHP/JavaScript Programmer

Javra Software is seeking experienced Software Developers to join our Progress Software Group. The group is a world class knowledge center on Progress Software Application Platforms. The Progress Software Group implements and delivers projects according to the requirements of our international customers. Developers in the Progress Software Group extensively make use of Javra Software’s proprietary development tool X/E files.

Position: PHP/Javascript Programmer

Core responsibilities are as follows:

*Adequate Experience with PHP/MySQL
All the relevant skills including an expert knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
The job requires good web server knowledge and a good understanding of communication technologies such as TCP/IP, Proxies, FTP, Shell etc. Also a very good understanding of databases is needed as many programming tasks require making use of different types of database such as SQL, MySQL etc.
*Adequate Knowledge of Javascript

*Adequate Knowledge of XML
- DOM parser
- SAX parser

*Proficient Database knowledge

Preference will be given to applicants having AJAX knowledge.

Required experience and profile is as follows:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Minimum 1 year experience in similar field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills while working in English.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages and tools.
• Confident in estimating time needed for tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

The following skills are optional but desirable:
• Knowledge of Dutch language
