Detailed Job Description / Requirements:

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking qualified Nationals for the following position in Damak.

VN#NP/08/08 Nurse


GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

Under the supervision of the Head Nurse (CMHN) and Deputy Chief Nurse, with the guidance from the Chief Migration Health Physician (CMHN) for technical matters and the Chief of Mission, Nepal for administrative matters, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support the Resettlement Health Assessment Programmes through activities, related to nursing, laboratory testing, administration of treatment and prevention, and clerking.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCES:


a) Bachelor in Nursing

b) Valid license to practice medicine (nursing) in Nepal

c) At least three years of experience in clinical practice; excellent technical skills, including phlebotomy

d) Compassionate attitude to the patients. Good bedside manners

e) Good command of spoken and written English. Fluency in Nepalese

f) Computer literacy

g) Willingness and ability to work in difficult conditions

f) Cultural and gender sensitivity: ability to work with the colleagues with different cultural backgrounds.
