OPE Reports Assistant

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking qualified Nepali Nationals for the following position to be based in Damak.

VN#NP/10/08 OPE Reports Assistant


GENERAL FUNCTION:

To generate daily, weekly, monthly and as assigned reports for management analysis and action. The Reports assistant will also perform quality control on data entry made by Overseas Processing Entity (OPE) staff. Training on reports and formats will be provided by the OPE Reports Supervisor, who will be the Reports Assistant’s direct overseer.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Perform daily, weekly, monthly and as assigned quality control of OPE Nepal data entry into the Worldwide Refugee Admissions Processing System (WRAPS);

• Produce quality control reports on a timely basis and as required;

• Format all reports in Excel for distribution to supervisors and partnership organizations such as U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Bureau of Population, Refugee and Migration (PRM), and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR);

• Coordinate with IOM IT Officer and Unit regarding operations and processing quality control issues;

• Perform other relevant duties as directed by OPE Reports Supervisor.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCES:


• University degree in IT, Statistics, or related field

• Working knowledge of database systems such as Track-It Software, Access and SQL

• Knowledge of database relationships

• Excellent comprehension of Excel

• Understanding of appropriate email protocol

• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

• Ability to work in a team environment and under direct supervision

• Excellent multitasking skills

• Solid communication skills

• Good comprehension of spoken and written English.
