Detailed Job Description / Requirements:

Friends of Needy Children (FNC) is a child focused organization that works for the rights and welfare of the most disadvantaged children and young people of Nepal. FNC has been working in nutrition, education, child protection, counseling and HIV&AIDS. Vocational Training and Career Counseling is newly added program of FNC which provides employable skills to the young people who cannot pursue college education.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CANDIDATE:
 Available by mid April 2008
 Physically fit for field visits.
 Experience in vocational training sector

POSITION: MANAGER FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND CARER COUNSELING PROGRAM (VECC).

REQUIRED POSITION: 1

LOCATION: Based in LALITPUR
REMUNERATION & BENEFITS: As per organization’s policy

QUALIFICATION: Graduate from recognized university.

TENURE: one year with possibility of extension

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Management of Vocational Education and Career Counseling program
2. Vocational training placement and monitoring of trainings
3. Conduct career counseling sessions, trainings and testing design
4. Develop a network of potential employers and assist with job placements

PROFILE REQUIRED:

 Humanitarian experience
 Working hours flexibility
 Experience in team management
 Previous experience of working with NGO/ INGO and government sectors
 Good capacity of analysis
 Computer skills
 Fluency in English language
 Report writing and research skills
