Access for Opportunities Nepal project is implementing in Gorkha District since 2007 by CCODER Nepal in partnership with Practical Action Nepal. The project is funded by European Union and Practical Action. Specific objective of the project is to improve the socio-economic situation of community of six remote VDCs of Gorkha Districts by delivering improved alternative transport technologies i.e. gravity ropeway and improved tuins which will enhance people's mobility and access to other essential services.
To implement this project, CCODER Nepal is seeking a young, energetic and enthusiastic person for the following position:
Job Title : Junior Engineer – 1
Contract Period : One year (Initial)
Working Area : Remote areas of Gorkha District
Qualification and Work Experience:
* Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least one year of work experience in rural infrastructure development.
* Good knowledge and experience of engineering survey, design, estimate and construction supervision of Trial Bridges, Improved Tuins and Gravity Ropeways.
* Strong communication and analytical skill on organize work and project.
* Fluent in spoken and written in English and Nepali.
* Experience in community development works at community level.
* Knowledge and skills in basic computing – office package as well as Auto CAD, SAP.
* Willingness and enthusiasm to stay and work with vulnerable communities living in rural and remote areas.
